Family Tree User Guide

FIND DESCENDANTS.

Locate your name using the FAST FIND function (Ctrl & F). In the FIND window type your full name and click on next. If the first name found is not yours repeat action until your name appears.

You should find your birth entry located below details of you parents. Left of your name will be a roman number indicatiing your birth position within the family.

If you are unmarried, or married, with no children, this will be your only record.

If you are unmarried, or married, with children, you will find a number to the left of the roman number.

Using the number left of the roman number, move (forward)/down the Family Tree until you find the corresponding BOLD number. Here you will find details of your marraige and children. Repeat this action to discover other descendants.

FIND ANCESTORS.

Locate your name using the FAST FIND function (Ctrl & F). In the FIND window type your full name and click on next. If the first name found is not yours repeat action until your name appears.

Above your name will be your parents details. Behind his/her name will be a list of ancestors in brackets, starting with his/her father, grandfather, etc. all the way back to the ealiest record.

Using the BOLD number to the left of your parent's name, move (back)/up the Family Tree until you find the corresonding non-bold number. Here you will find the birth record of your parent with details of his/her parents listed above.

Repeat this action to find your ancestors back to the earliest entry in the Family Tree.
